My son has a habit of repeating his favorite phrases over and over again. Things like "Mom what do you say?" Others include "I can't" (a personal favorite of mine, let me tell you), "What do you think," and "We're getting there." He tends to say these at just the right moment which makes it even better when we're out and about.

The other day, I was putting his coat on and it was one of those "whiny" days. You know what I mean. Where every "no" brings on a fresh wave of tears, every plan changed sends the day into a tailspin for his little brain. Apparently, the coat I had selected wasn't a good choice. He kept crying and pulling at it. I asked him what was wrong and he said "I can't wear this."

"Why buddy, what's wrong with it?"

"It's too dangerous."

Um, ok.
