World AIDS Day - Bloggers Unite

Bloggers around the world are at it again. It is amazing how one blogger (such as myself) may not think they can make a huge impact in the world; that their voice cannot be heard much over the din of life. But put a bunch of those bloggers in one room and look at what can happen.

So here we are now, sitting at our desks or on our couches or at our kitchen counters or wherever our blog command central happens to be, thinking about World AIDS Day. Some statistics say that there are an estimated 33 million people living with AIDS. That's staggering. Considering thirty years ago, we didn't know anything about this disease. NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) has joined with AIDS.gov to make today World AIDS today. This year's theme is leadership at all levels possible. Better leadership means better role models and better decision makers in the world. Are you a leader? Of what? How do you perform? Stuff to think about...

Here are some resources about AIDS and what can be done to educate others. If you work with youth, I highly recommend taking a look and start talking about this stuff:

There is a ton of information online. And there are tons of ways to get active. I know I've said it before, but I'm tired of hearing myself say "I just don't want to get involved." Maybe it's time we all got a little more involved. Just a little can make a huge difference.
