A Lighter Soul: The Podcast

Stories of Women & Resilience

You can’t turn on the TV or radio, fire up social media, or check out any source of news without getting hit in the face with bad news. It’s hard to stay positive in the light of everything that is happening around us on a daily basis. But there ARE good things happening. Amazing things, actually. Things that will not only make you smile, but wake you up to the goodness that you didn’t know existed.

That’s why I created this Podcast. To share some good news. To get women inspired to go after what they want. To make sure that we remember how amazing this world really can be. Enjoy these stories of women and resilience. And if you know of someone who should be a guest, please share their contact info with me in the form at the bottom of the page.

Episode One - Jennifer Anderson

In this first episode, I talk with Jennifer Anderson - a lawyer, wife and mother who has a fantastic story. She is using her new sense of self-awareness to make a better life for herself and her family.  Her story is full of grit and vulnerability and honesty and I am sure you will love it as much as I loved talking to her.

Episode 2 - Dana Snell

In Episode 2 of Season 1, Angela talks to Dana Snell, a woman who has faced her challenges and fears head on and lived to the tell the tale. Her story is one of addiction, self-realization and, of course, resilience. Listen to their conversation about recognizing when you need help, giving back and how gratitude can change your everyday life.

Episode 3 - Mara Yule

Mara is a young woman navigating the typical trials of life. But her energy and approach to solving problems is nothing short of incredible. Listen in as she and I chat about her various fitness activities, including her most recent venture into pole dancing. Then, try not to let your jaw hit the floor when she talks about biking across the country with her dad. Yes, you read that correctly, she biked across the country.

Episode 4 - Wendy Crabbe

In today’s episode, I’m talking with Wendy Crabbe. Wendy had a life that was good. She had a good job and a good marriage. But she wanted something a little more and she decided, like many women today, to try and lose a little bit of weight. What started as a seemingly simple task has revolutionized how she looks at food, her health and her purpose.

Episode 5 - Joy Roberts

Today’s guest is Joy Roberts. Joy is appropriately named because you cannot help but smile and laugh and be happy when you talk to her. But her life has not always been kittens and rainbows.

Joy opened up and shared about her experience as a single mom, a professional who works in the mental health field and how she copes with having an autoimmune disease that, when activated, can be debilitating.
