31 Days of Make Believe: Meet Mary, Day 22
Mary Davis is the woman I often refer to as my "best online friend." You probably know her as marybabysteps which is based on her blog that is called Everyday Baby Steps!
Mary blogs about her transition from the traditional workforce to work-at-home mom and starting a freelance writing career.
*Now for the Make Believe Part*
What did you always want to be when you grew up as a kid? Why?
I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader when I was real little because they were pretty and got to dress up in those cute little outfits for a living. I thought it was a fine aspiration!
What is your favorite fairy tale and why?
Cinderella is my favorite because she lives happily ever after. . . and because she sticks it to her nasty step-mother and step-sisters!
It is the night of the big ball. The one you are destined to marry is among the crowd, so you’ve dressed your best. Describe your outfit.
I love clothes! I’m wearing a beautiful jewel-toned dress, probably dark green, it’s strapless with an empire waist (Stacy and Clinton say that’s flattering on everyone!) and flows to my ankles. And my shoes are shimmery, rhinestone encrusted strappy heels.
Your life has been selected to be featured in an upcoming fairy tale style movie. What is the title and premise?
Everything Happens for a Reason is the title. It’s about a woman who goes through many of life’s twists and turns wondering why things are often so hard. In the end, she learns that “everything happens for a reason”!
You need to be rescued. Where are you and what is going on around you? Describe the scene as your hero approaches.
I’m drowning in a giant pile of laundry, with dishes stacked up all around me. The kids are screaming. Then, my knight in shining armor, the all-expenses-paid nanny/housekeeper, arrives to save me!
